Hello All! Just a couple things:
1) After careful thought we have decided that anyone who has not
been active on the site in 6 months will be suspended from the site
until they request to be reinstated. Just to have people remain a
member of the site to have "numbers" is not what this site is
about. We want people who are excited, active, & see the benefit
of participation.
2) The site & the networking group that meets monthly are two
separate things, so being a member of the site does not
automatically make you a member of the networking group. To clear
this up we will be naming the networking group the CDA Success
Group to help with anyconfusion people may have.
Thank you! Jamie
PS Also, there is a code of conduct that is expected from business
people who participate in this site, (be it here on the site or out
in public), and blatant dishonesty, deliberately causing trouble,
or bad mouthing of other business owners is not tolerated. Not only
will you be suspended for this activity you will be banned and not
allowed to return.
PSS One final note...you can not join this site by clicking on a
link, as site owner/moderator I can not add/or delete your profile
(only ban you), & you can not join by accident.
Control your email settings and messages.
You'll receive email notifications when you have new private
messages, new friend requests, or when the Network Creator or group
creator sends a broadcast message. You can follow any blog post or
forumdiscussion, and by default you'll follow those you participate
in.
You can choose whether you want to receive any, all, or none of
these notifications from you "Email settings" page. You also have
full control over who can send you a private message, and can block
any member from doing so at any time. Read on for more information
on controlling your email settings and messages.
PrivateMessages
When you join , you'll automatically be able to exchange messages
with the Network Creator and Administrators. In order to exchange
messages with any other member of the social network, you'll need
to first become friends with that member. When accepting friend
requests, keep this in mind. You might not want to accept a person
if you wouldn't feel comfortable if they contacted you
privately.
If you'd like to prevent someone from sending you private messages,
you can block messages from any member on the social network. To
block a sender, go to your inbox and locate a message they've sent
you. Open the message and click the "Block messages" link.
Notifications
There are a number of different types of notifications you'll
receive by default. This includes messages sent to only you, to
groups you belong to, to your events, to the whole social network,
or messages people sent to all of their friends, and the
notifications you receive when you have new friend requests, when
people you've invited join, and when you have new comments to
approve.
You can turn off any or all email notifications coming from your
social network from your Email Settings page.
To get to your Email Settings page, click on the "Settings" link in
the right column of the page.Next, click the "Email" tab. This page
displays all of the different types of notifications you'll receive
from your social network. In the "Social network Messages" section,
you can control the email notifications you receive when messages
are sent on your social network. In the "Member Activity" section,
you can control email notifications generated by activity on the
social network. In the "Following discussions and blog posts"
section, you can choose whether or not you automatically follow
discussions and blog posts you add to the social network and those
you reply to. If you're already following blog posts and
discussions, you can stop following all at once by clicking the
"Clear My Follow List" button.
Turn off all notifications
Finally, if you don't want to receive any email notifications from
your social network, you can check the box next to "None: I don't
want to receive emails" at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind
this means you will not know when you've been sent private messages
on the social network until you log in to the social network, and
you won't receive broadcast messages from the Network Creator and
Admins.
