Whether it's summer or winter, ceiling fans and roof turbines can save energy - that's good for your bank balance and good for the environment.

Thank you for the info Ela! I personally don't believe in global warming either, but I do believe that pollution and choices we make can ruin our water supply and damage our environment. (Just our human ego to think we can actually control the weather:) )

I have since 2000 recycled, reused and reduced my carbon footprint. My home is non toxic and I purchase organic products. I believe we are all responsible for how we impact the environment. However with that said I don't believe in global warming and I believe there is a different agenda behind this movement. I have uploaded a file hope everyone can view it if not I would be happy to email it to anyone interested.Global Warming - Acid Test - Idso.docx

Turn off decorative outdoor natural gas lamps. Just eight lamps burning year round use as much natural gas as an average size house does in an entire winter.

My neighbor has a huge yard and likes to keep his clippings cleaned up - so he hauls them to me and I use them for mulch in the garden. They really keep the weeds down!
Beth Dagastine Comment by Beth Dagastine on October 23, 2009 at 2:56pm
We leave our clippings, when mowed, on the lawn, and let the sheep graze...When walking on the back lawn you have to be careful, not be barefoot, as little droppings are all over and good fertilizer.

Tip of the day: Next time you mow try grass recycling. Leave the clippings on the lawn. As the clipping decompose nutrients are returned to the soil.
